Dear ALIA-Europe folks,
having just joined i have been intrigued and enthused by the stream of thoughts and replies. I was never at the summer institute - there was always a reason not to travel to Canada, while i have heard many wonderful stories.…
Please share something about yourself, your work, and what draws you to the ALIA community.
The sea (zee in Dutch) is always moving, it ebbs and flows, it bounds the shores and is bound by the land, moved by the moon and lit by the sun, it has depths that nobody has ever seen - like life in organizations and communities, its possibilities are enormous but not without facing our fear of the cold water.
After over 12 years inside organisations, i now work as independent consultant in Bureau Zee, consulting to projects like the performance improvement of a utility company call center, the development of a culture of accountability in a refinery, or an electricity company’s transition to becoming a leader in green energy.
My work sits on the intersection between leadership and organization development and I invite leaders to explore the spirit and purpose that fuel the primary task of their organizations. I particularly enjoy working with global-local, centre-periphery tensions in complex organizations.
I believe my work is about grounding, holding and movement.
